Dick Vitale, the longtime ESPN faculty basketball broadcaster and Corridor of Famer, would be the recipient of the Jimmy V Award for Perseverance at this 12 months’s ESPYS.
Vitale, 82, introduced in August that he had undergone a number of surgical procedures to take away melanoma. In October, he introduced he had been identified with lymphoma.
